Concept Padel Teams Up with PadelXpo as Official Apparel Partner

Yesterday afternoon we headed to Powerleague Birmingham for the official launch of PadelXpo, a standout padel event in Birmingham, and we were proud to be there as the event’s apparel partner. The launch brought together players, brands and people from right across the padel industry for an afternoon of play and conversation; with Birmingham hosting a wide mix of padel tournaments and club events, it felt like a strong meeting point for the local scene and a clear sign of where the sport is heading.

For Concept Padel, it was the right place to show what our padel clothing is all about for adult players who want premium, stylish and comfortable apparel they can wear both on and off court, whether they play recreationally or competitively. This piece looks at the PadelXpo Birmingham launch, the role performance and lifestyle apparel plays in the playing experience, and why events like this matter as padel continues to grow across the UK.

Kitted out with T-shirts from the moment they arrived

For us, the afternoon started before the first ball was hit. We put together 120 VIP merch packs for guests, each one filled with co-branded Concept Padel x PadelXpo gear: caps, towels, tote bags and T-shirts. Every guest picked one up on arrival, so it wasn’t long before the venue was full of our kit, on court, at the bar and everywhere in between.

Seeing the gear being worn and used throughout the day was a great moment for the team. It’s exactly what we design our padel clothing for: kit that feels right on court and looks just as good off it.

Padel clothing built for the game

Padel is fast, social and played in all sorts of conditions, from indoor clubs to outdoor courts. Good padel clothing is often designed in technical polyester, often 100% polyester, for on-court use. It has to move with you through quick changes of direction, using light, moisture-wicking fabrics that many players prefer for sweat-wicking comfort, while elastic fibers provide freedom of movement during long rallies and still look good when you’re heading to the bar after the match.

That’s the thinking behind everything we make at Concept Padel, with fabric details chosen for purpose-built performance. Every piece in the VIP packs was chosen to be useful in a real padel day:

  • Caps to keep the sun and glare out of your eyes on outdoor courts

  • T-shirts to play padel in, train in or wear off court, with the right fit rather than a tight feel

  • Towels for between games and after a long session

  • Tote bags to carry your racket, balls and equipment to and from the club

Whether you’re a regular competitor or picking up a racket for the first time, the right padel apparel makes the game more comfortable and helps you feel part of the community.

Arrivals and a warm welcome

Guests arrived from 2pm, grabbed a drink and settled in before the official welcome at 2:15pm. The PadelXpo team launched the show properly, sharing their plans for 2027 and what will set it apart. It was exciting to hear the vision, and a big part of why we wanted to be involved from the very beginning.

Time to get on court

From 2:30pm, the rackets came out. Four courts were dedicated to play, with a fifth taken over by a DJ, giving the whole place a proper buzz. Whether people were there to compete or just to soak up the atmosphere, there was something for everyone, and plenty of Concept Padel caps and tees in action across every court. The right equipment also includes practical extras like sports socks, which are essential for comfort during play. There’s no better test for padel clothing than real players using it in real games, and it was great to see our kit doing its job, with a gym bag proving useful for carrying gear to court.

BBQ, drinks and good conversation

Alongside the padel, the BBQ and drinks kept everyone fuelled throughout the afternoon. Some of the best moments came off court: catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones and talking all things padel with people who care about growing the sport as much as we do.

Why this partnership matters to us and Padel UK

Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the UK, and events like PadelXpo play a big role in bringing the community together. Supporting the launch as apparel partner was a natural fit for Concept Padel. We’re all about backing the sport, the players and the people building its future, and building the Concept Padel brand with padel clothing in a style the UK community is proud to wear.

A huge thank you to PadelXpo for having us, and to everyone who came along, picked up a pack and repped the kit, making it easy to check new arrivals, compare options, complete a look, add accessories, and purchase or order after events.
